
Ice Skating lessons are a great way to get started with the sport while benefiting both physically and mentally. Whether you aim to skate casually, become an NHL hockey player or an Olympic figure skater, lessons can provide a supportive environment to develop your skills and have fun!

Classes start Thursday, April 2 from 5:00 - 6:00 pm at Mercyhurst Ice Center.
Classes May 7 and 14 will be from 5:15 pm - 6:15 pm
Skate rentals are NOT availabe for this session.

Elite Skating School Classes begin April 1, 2026
Elite Skate School (ESS)
ESS is a stepping stone from Learn to Skate lessons into more advanced skating. It is designed to be in addition to Learn to Skate lessons, not in place of them. This program is for skaters who have passed Basic 3/Adult 3 and up. Skaters will work on advanced USFS test patterns (called Skating Skills), beginning jumps and spins and edge work.
Classes begin Wednesday, April 1, 2026 at 4:30 pm at
Mercyhurst Ice Center.
Skaters will have off ice instruction from 4:30 pm - 4:50 pm, on-ice instruction from 5:00 pm - 5:30 pm and receive a punch card for (7) 30 minutes practice sessions.

Skaters must be WFSC of Erie members taking private lessons or be enrolled in both the Learn to Skate and ESS programs to participate.
